I have to apologize for PMUNDY

I have to apologize for PMUNDYs shitty behavior. He is my friend and I left the site on with him sitting here. He decided to be an ass and make a name and then post dumb shit like all that stuff about sex...Please forgive me for letting him even hear about this site, I didnt know he would do something like this...

Hmm, perhaps further incidents of this kind could be prevented if new members have to get approved by an Admin / Mod at first.

I used to snoop at roguescience, but never signed up. Now you can't read much without registering, but they have the registry disabled. Maybe they were having the same trouble as this board?

I like the essay idea myself. Nothing very long just about 5 sentences about why they want to sign up and why they are interested in chemistry. Mods/admins read it and aprove it and they get posting rights. Perhaps non mods or admins that were well respected could also review the essays too. Anyone with more than 300 posts.

What if, what is isn\'t true?

Why not posting it in a special section of the forum under the form of a poll, and allowing every old members to read them and vote for or against, when 2 or 3 or more vote are entered the user is accepted/refused, there is enough traffic on the forum now so it almost always has one or two user at the same time, acceptation should not take much longer than ½half day, 1 day in the maximum

But seriously, that does sound like a good idea, it would at least be a barometer of a members sanity or lack thereof.

Not really necessary... it would cause a lot of people to drift away from getting "hooked" to this site (no one likes to wait), and besides, there isn't any out of control idiot problem here.

Let the vermin surface, then proceed to cut of it's head.

If you bury the very holes it surfaces from, you'll never catch it.

Besides, it's not like I don't have enough work cleaning up the idiots around here.
