clearly_not_atara, I can remember a paper where 3-nitrophenol was formylated to 50:50 mixture of 2- and 6-formylated products ( Studies on the Nucleophilic Aromatic 18F-Fluorination ). But I have never heard about exclusive ortho-nitro formylation. Were you going to say the
same?
