This is an excellent resource. It is made a little redundant for me by NMR prediction software, but the ability to sleuth down a chemical is very useful. I have not found a better resource than this site for that purpose.

It was reccomended to students in a structural determination in chemistry class at uni over here.

Indeed, SDBS is THE reference in spectral database! I was so amazed the day I discovered it...

It's actually surprising to see not that many people know about it, even chemistry students...

Thats how I felt when I saw it, I suppose I have gained so much information from this forum, that when I see something new, for me, I think that there may be others where it is also new - and perhaps useful, so I want to share it. YTFnot etc.

I've seen SDBS referred to a number of times before, and Nicodem has already mentioned http://www.nmrdb.org/ . So maybe some of you would be interested in http://nmrshiftdb.ice.mpg.de/ as well. :D
