Owner of geocities chlorate production site?

Geocities will stop hosting all geocities websites on Oct 1, which means that our beloved electrolysis site will be disappearing. A member of rec.pyro has offered to host the site for free, but has not been able to contact the owner, and isn't able to fully capture the site due to bandwidth restrictions imposed on geocities. Does anyone have the contact info for the owner, so that this wonderful site can be archived before it disappears?

Do you think that it may be archived on archive.org, or on Google?

The site is run by a "Sciencemadness" member, the inimitable "dann2".

He should be contactable via U2U, if he doesn't spot this thread!

Hello,

I think the site will be still at it's current location untill Oct 26,
http://geocities.yahoo.com/

There is not much more I can add to the site.

Apart from:
Perchlorate from Graphite in a divided cell???
Lead Dioxide on MMO? (hurry up Swede and Tentacles!)
Manganese Dioxide Anode in a pH controlled Chlorate cell.
Properly made Lead Dioxide Anode (thick coat, controlled acid conc., Nitrites looked @) on Ti + SnO2.
Some Strontium Perchlorate stuff (if my grovelling over in Reference section pays off !!!!!!!!!!! :P).

Dann2, is there any way you can save it to a mirror site? I assume you have copies of all the text and data in a secure location... your info has been a boon for me and so many other hobbyists for quite a while.

Knowledge is useless to useless people...

"I see a lot of patterns in our behavior as a nation that parallel a lot of other historical processes. The fall of Rome, the fall of Germany — the fall of the ruling country, the people who think they can do whatever they want without anybody else's consent. I've seen this story before."~Maynard James Keenan

I have just archived this site using Winhttrack and the zip file is posted here:

http://ifile.it/c981bwk

The .rar file will unpack into a directory "Geocities_Chlorates Site"
This directory contains the file "index" which will navigate thru' this site.

I hope dann2 approves of this attempt to mirror his site without authorization.

Hello,

Glad the see the site is of use to people.
I was often thinking of just doing what gsd did and distribute the thing as a zip.
I compressed and uploaded the 'Further reading section' which is not in the gsd upload.
Link is: http://ifile.it/b170wdv 8.5 Mb

To explore the Further reading section, just click on 'bedtime.html' and go from there.
Don't stay up too late..........

Also there is a new pdf file (on the main site) under Strontium Perchlorate that has been uploaded some days ago. Thanks to UnintentionalChaos for that.

dann2, your site cannot be underestimated as a source of info, and I'm glad gsd archived it. I reference it over and over, especially for the more technical portions. I am not smart on archiving HTTP, but is there a method to incorporate all of the info in a PDF file?
