Help! Ketamine synthesis thermal arrangement solvent and optimium timing/temperature

Many sites in internet claims many different solvent for final ketamine synthesis thermal rearrangement. Such as 1) Decalin 2) Undecane 3) Ethyl Benzoate 4) Ethylene Glycol. etc.

They also claims different yield normally less than 50% except Ethylene Glycol with claims to have yield around 75%.

Temperature from 160 degree C to 195 degree C

Time for reflux from 60 min to 4 hr!!!

Knowing that during the thermal arrangement , many Tar will crash out and loosing a lot of the product.

Can anybody tell me which is the best solvent to use, what temperature and duration for optimium yield without loosing so much product.

Thanks.

Is this really appropriate for Sciencemadness?

Its not about the final product; Getting there by total synthesis is the challenge and the reason that I am interested in chemistry.
