Cheap (£83) Spray Paint Booth, any good as a fume hood?
Browsing eBay I came across a listing titled "25W Portable Airbrush Spray Paint Booth Filter Extractor Kit Air Brush Art Craft".

For only £83 this seems like it could be worth getting. Obviously it's not a proper chemical fume hood, but it's got to be better than nothing at
all, right?
Any thoughts?
Maybe putting a sheet of plexiglas over the top half of the front opening would improve it?

I'd rather start with a cooker extractor hood,
e.g. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SIA-STV60WH-60cm-Visor-White-Cook...
£48 incl.p&p, 300 m3/hour (175 cfm), lights, filters, ducting, external cowl, ready made.
Not explosion proof but I think that dilution by airflow should handle most situations
- but not all.
P.S todays cold weather reminded me;
if your extractor is venting (e.g. 300m3/hour) to the outside then an equal flow of cold external air will (need to) enter your space.
(or an equal flow of hot external air, depending on your weather.)

One can't have too much size and power...that doesn't look like much.
For the money one can get a lot of aquarium and inline fan and ducting. Or twigs, twine, and saran wrap. IDK how it works there but most anywhere with
a shower here has a 4" inline fan that can generally be easily removed or connected to a duct, and of course dryer vents. A 6" fan can blow a fair
amount of air through a 4" duct if it's not too long. There are charcoal inlet filters for these fans too, primarily for marijuana growers...tents
sold for the same purpose would be useful when there isn't much fire hazard.
