Question about plastic bottles

I have some nice 250mL nalgene polyethylene bottles. The kind you use in a lab, not for jogging.

When I take the lid off it smells really bad inside, I think its the plasticizers. Will this cause any contamination?

Can I store air or water sensitive reagents inside it? I don't want them decomposing over time.

Go to the Nalgene website. They will reveal all.
