Very interesting!
Does anyone have the complete procedure?
(Is it legal?)

Barbiturates are not legal without prescription, and I don't believe are even used in medicine in modern times and have been replaced largely by the use of benzodaizepines. Wikipedia confirms this and also has this insight, "barbiturates are still used in general anesthesia, for epilepsy, and assisted suicide".

It's bull-shit like this that makes malonic acid sketchy to buy for legitimate reasons... The chemistry of such is even uninteresting...

Edit - what is the point of this thread? Cool, a picture of a shitty drug's synthesis. No questions, no comments, no amendments?

Thank you for experimenting!

There are a number of states looking to buy it for lethal injections. Perhaps there will be a market for it there. The real challenge is that it has to be made by GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) and up to FDA standards, because we can't kill people without using safe drugs that meet all government standards.
