Quenching of bluish fluorescence ...


I have the Polyester resin which contains bluish fluorescence.
It is water clear but has bluish ring..of fluorescence.
How can I quench this fluorescence..
Is it possible??

You might be able to add (or paint on) something which absorbs UV strongly, but doesn't fluoresce.

What about adding dibenzylideneacetone? It is used in sunscreen. Slightly yellow but it is non fluorescent.

Yes..it is better if it remains.
I thought uv absorber could be helpful..but don't have uv absorber.

Potassium iodide is a fairly good quencher for Fluorescein in solution that i have used in the lab before. It would probably work for you
