"Flooding" issue when sending U2U messages - even after 5-10 minute break

I seem to be getting a flooding warning each time I try to send a message to one user, but also very often for just about every user. Do others have problems with this? I'm wondering if it might be my browser or if it is something else.

How long between messages do we need to wait before another message can be sent?

The last message I sent was 8 minutes ago and I still can't send another message to another user. Is this normal and is there any way to change this (maybe for individual accounts?)?

Ahhh. I think I figured it out. If you report SPAM, it counts towards your "flooding" in U2U's, so then you have to wait for the queue to clear up. I think that is the case at least..

FWIW, I have the same issue. Spam reporting does indeed count towards the u2u flooding stat.

I don't know how the spambots get around it. The are able to post every 25 seconds in some cases.
