I am doing methylation using Dimethyl sulfate and getting Sodium methyl sulfate as bi-product. This Sodium methyl sulfate is a big headache as effluent. Someone suggest me that it can be convert back to dimethyl sulfate. Can any one suggest me any effective method to convert sodium methyl sulfate to Dimethyl sulfae.

It can be done simply by pyrolysis, at least according to wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimethyl_sulfate#Production
