new route to perfluoro vinyl methyl ether

perfluoro vinyl methyl ether is the monomer which is added to tetra fluoroethene to produce kalrez fluoroelastomer.
this stuff is unusually expensive.

I requested a qoute

Quotation on Perfluoro methyl vinyl ether
Product: I14-0972 Perfluoro methyl vinyl ether (Cas# 1187-93-5)
Quantity: 10kg
Price(FOB Shanghai): $3220/10kg
Purity: 98%min
Appearance: liquid
Delivery date: 7days for 10kg, in stock
Quotation Valid time: 15 days

and my response

The price is high, for a molecule of less than ten atoms. I wanted to ask if you could tell me the process that is used to manufacture the compound and from which starting materials.

Maybe another process could be found which might bring the price down to that of commercial fluorocarbon refrigerant gasses.

Maybe someone could suggest another route to this compound.
