Oxone?

So I have been looking around for this versatile reagent and I need help understanding a few things. The cheapest I have found from scientific suppliers is around 20$/kg in larger quantities. I noticed that chlorine free pool shock often contains the components of oxone for the price of around 7$/kg in bulk. I know the stuff made for pools often has a buffer which lowers cost but if the MSDS only mentions "Oxone" then it should be pure oxone correct? Can anyone point to brands which are available in bulk and contain pure oxone without buffers?

"if the MSDS only mentions "Oxone" then it should be pure oxone correct?"
Things may differ from one jurisdiction to another but here they only need to mention things that are hazardous on the msds. The stuff could be mainly something else, say sodium sulphate, as long as that wasn't hazardous.

I think the pool stuff also contains sodium carbonate or bicarbonate to help stabalise the pool water not 100% shure though. Let us know of your findings.

Yes a source for smallish ammounts of oxone aka MPS.

http://www.groupclearwater.com/webstore/commerce.cgi?cart_id...

May be this one is the way to go, I can buy it over the net where I live for less than 20€, expesive for such a chemical but I can't find it at less than 25 kg ammounts...

Hexagon do you know whats all in that MPS stuff? In the picture you can tell there is two ingredients listed, I can't make it out. This (http://www.spadepot.com/shop/Oxy-Spa-Non-chlorine-MPS-Shock-...) appears to be pure oxone $10/kg not too bad eh?
