Counting electrons


I count 24 valence electrons for CO3-2, but when I draw it out with the lone pairs I count only 20...??

Three lone pairs each on two oxygens, two lone pairs on the other oxygen, three sigma bonds and one pi bond is a total of 12 pairs of electrons, which is 24.
