Is it possible to make TNT from gunpowder and sand?

In minecraft, 5 parts gunpowder and 4 m3 sand give 1 TNT.
In real life, toluene, HNO3 and H2SO4 are needed to make TNT.
S+air=SO2, dissolve in water and oxidised to make H2SO4.
H2SO4+KNO3=>HNO3.
Gunpowder=KNO3+S+C.
Does (char)coal and sand contain extractable amount of toluene?

Definitely no. the idea is once you have one energetic material, you can make the other. The behavior of these two compounds is not based on any of their real properties, other than that they can explode in the right circumstances (different in mincraft than real life). Minecraft has some very realistic elements, but this isn't one of them. It's true that NO3- is used for both but the other ingredients are not the same by a long shot. And the end result being a packaged looking product which goes high order after a consistent delay of a few seconds after exposure to heat or electricity? and the enormous crater (larger than in real life maybe), and the fact that the distance to be crushed/burned by the blast is only slightly larger than this crater, and probably less than real life? respawning? health that grows back in minutes and can be aided with certain foods? monsters? you should know it's not all real.

You can't carry 10 m3 of sand and a workbench full of tools and lab equipment in your back pocket in real life, either.

Fusso you are being carried away a bit too much by minecraft, as much as I love this game making tnt from gunpowder and sand is not realistic at all, they are completely different things.
If the sand where you live has usable amounts of toluene, you should call your local equivalent to EPA

I was wondering how someone could come up with this question.
Thanks for pointing out the connection through a game.

Yea, game designers are obviously no chemists so they obviously don't know shit about chemistry:P
