Calcium Chlorate from TCCA

I need Ca(ClO3)2 for an experiment, but I don't want to order the hypochlorite needed to make it and pay for the transport or buy a whole kilo if I don't have to. Is it worth trying to mix TCCA with Ca(OH)2 to get calcium hypochlorite, or should I straight up generate chlorine and do this:
2 Cl2 + 2 Ca(OH)2 → Ca(ClO)2 + CaCl2 + 2 H2O

As far as I'm aware Calcium hypochlorite will only react very slowly to chlorate.
So, unless you intend to boil it for hours, I wouldn't recommend it.
