Microsoft Mathematics

Microsoft put a fair amount of energy into an add-on to many of it's products; designed for students, "MS Mathematics" is still a free download:

I wondered if anyone has worked with it for any period of time as now it's in V.3x (I'm not really sure how long it's been around but I believe this is the last of the "free" versions).

I was just curious if anyone has had a chance to work with it for any period as it seems like an attempt at making a TI 89 calculator for a laptop. It has the classical graphing functions, trig, calculus & linear algebra, etc. - I'm not one for MS products so I was looking for opinions.........?

I think they've recently put out a v4.x not long ago. I've used a little bit, and I think it works quite nicely -- I use it for my tablet laptop though, so I enjoy the math writing recognition. It's useful for simpler math needs/plotting.
