vacuum to compressor


I got this old rotary vane up, still works. question here can i use this system as a compressor?
for rotary vane what the max compression(PSI)?
as of now i'm taking the pump apart for maintenance and cleaning

what mods should i do to make the vacuum pump to compressor?

Attach your chamber to the outlet. Attach gauge to chamber and see what you get?

You run into problems like surge/stall when trying to reach a higher pressure (by increasing rotation speed), with high noise and mechanical destruction.

It is a big undertaking to learn turbomachinery. It may be useful to learn how to read a compressor performance map when selecting a suitable compressor.
