advice on buying a IR spec or raman

so i have been looking at getting an IR spectrometer second hand for under $3000 US or $6000 australian or a new thunder optics raman for the same price. i was looking at some thing like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/THERMO-NICOLET-IR300-SPECTROMETER-W...
What will the software cost from the manufacturer for the IR spec?
i know for a few thousand more i can get an IR spec with a pc setup ready to go. How good is raman for identifying organic powders and liquids compared to an IR spec?
any help will be great.

I have been working with used equipment for 7 years. Go with the newest IR you can get. Raman is great but the ease of use with IR is what makes them so great. I have two used perkin Elmer spectrum 100 FTIR and I love them.
