Formation of metaphosphoric acid HPO3 from heating of phosphoric acid

It is difficult to find information about the formation of metaphosphoric acid HPO3 from the heating of phosphoric acid. Posters on various Q&A type websites claim that when phosphoric acid is heated beyond ~300 C metaphosphoric acid will begin to form, but I cannot find a primary source. Can anyone find a source, or share their own experience?
