how to remove a silver oxide stain

I have a silver oxide stain on my plastic window sill. How could i remove it? Would KNO3+H2SO4 work or will it make it worse by forming silver sulfate?

Per Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silver_oxide):

"It is soluble in ammonia solution, producing active compound of Tollens' reagent. A slurry of Ag2O is readily attacked by acids"

Sodium thiosulfate is also good option.

The mildest way to get rid of the oxide layer is dissolving some NaHCO3 or Na2CO3 in water. Put a piece of aluminium foil in the solution and put the silver object on the aluminium foil. After a few tens of minutes the silver will look much lighter and cleaner.

The best method for removing silver oxide stain is using ammonia solution or sodium thiosulfate. The use of aluminum foil will just transform the oxide into silver metal. And the stain has changed composition, but it is still there.
