Metastabel Tin Oxide Uses

I've found myself having a heap of colloidal metastable tin oxide. Separating it will be a bit of a pain(the solution is weirdly chunky?). So my question is is it worth it separating it out? Is there anything cool I can do with it?

Do you know if it's alpha or beta? Is it soluble in concentrated HCl?
