Calculating pH
I have a pre university chemistry qualification which helped somewhat in my home chemistry however it omitted a great deal of the knowledge that would
really help. Effectively I can do moles and concentration in the maths side of things.
It didn't cover calculating pH though and all I know is that its about counting hydrogen ions. I might even be wrong there.
I have read chemistry books but it doesn't seem to stick. The ones I have looked at only seem to offer one example. I feel it would help me grasp it
if I had the most basic worked examples I can think of.
They are:
How much concentrated HCl 32% solution is required to bring a 1000ml of water to pH 2,3,4?
How much concentrated NaOH solution is required to bring a 1000ml of water to pH 12,13,14?
If any one has any good links that you think explain this area well please post. Thanks
