Secret Santa
I realize, again, it's early in the season however I have to get my mind off the past
year. Too many tragedies. But life goes on.
J_sum1, will you being handling this again ? You did a marvelous job last year. This
kid is ready to rock ! Note: I'm a 64 year old kid. Nothing takes my mind off the
bullshit that goes on around me like Secret Santa !

I am up for it again. It is not too big a task for me and it is a lot of fun.
The only thing is, I would love to see participation increase. It is a blast to get a little something from like-minded individuals. Particularly
when it is a little local artifact from the other side of the world.
I will begin organisation in a couple of weeks with a sign-up deadline mid-October (ish).

I'd like to do what Dr. Bob did. He sent out bonus stocking stuffers to people.
I still want to send out a glass device like I did last year. Chemistry equipment
makes the most sense for this board. I'll be looking for eBay bargains on bulk
equipment. This is usually a good source for that. Problem for Dr. Bob is that
I really don't know what he's into unless I do some serious post stalking. Also
I haven't found any post cards that matched up with my Maine "bear treat"
cards a couple of years ago. Got to get my mind off the shit that's happening
in the world around me.

Secret Santa
Just ordered for my recipient(eBay). Recipient should receive by DECEMBER 6,
next Tuesday. Back to the post card list. This will ship directly from eBay
seller to my recipient. Distance is 303 miles(488 kilometers) so it shouldn't take
too long.

Secret Santa Gift
Not too long after I ordered for my recipient, UPS knocked on the door and
handed me MY Secret Santa gift. The sender was easy enough to ID. It was
from B(a)P in Australia. The gift was a bottle rocket tool and 2 LBS of potassium
perchlorate. Interestingly bottle/sky rockets are the ONLY illegal consumer
fireworks, other than say Estes rockets, in Maine. No matter - the New Hampshire
state line is 19 miles away so I can get them there. We can have everything else.
Stupid wanker-driven CPSC regulations prohibit LARGE salutes but never stopped
me and never will. MUHAHAHAHA !
Still working on the custom postcards - about $50(USD) for 50 5" X 7" cards. I
have a lot of people to mail out to. SS board members, family and friends. I think
y'all will like what I have in mind.
P.S. Pyros can never have enough potassium perchlorate !

Tracking indicates item delivered at 12:20 PM EST. I like to get these things out
early to avoid a last minute rush during the holiday season. Now, just have to wait
