Complete Lab Clearance Sale!

Hi, i've been a long time lurker and occasional poster, but the time has come for me to clear out my lab:( With a baby on the way and my wedding coming up my wife is forcing me to sell all my reagents and equipment. I live in the USA, international shipping will be availible on all equipment however i will not ship certain reagents internationally. Below is a brief sampling of what i have to offer.

I have pyrex, kimax RBF's in sizes 250mL too 2L, 250mL and 2L glascol mantles with variac. Corning PC220 hotplate/stirrer.All types of condensors and adaptors, most are pyrex, kimax, or ace however one 2L RBF is kantu and a vigreax is UGT as are a few other items.

As far as chems i have 4L amounts of of a few common solvents, bases and acids(including 4L 70% HNO3 and 1L RFNA), some of the more interesting reagents i have is, approx 500g Na, 200g I2, 100g HgI2, 250g Hg, and 8L nitromethane, most are reagent grade however a few are tech grade, i will see which are when i take inventory. I have a wide assorment of other misc chems.

Im taking pictures of my equipment as i write this, i don't take pictures often so does anyone reccomend a good hosting site?? I should have my pictures finished within a week. I will also be listing a comphrehensive inventory shortly. In the mean time PM me if you are interested and have any questions about a certain reagent or equipment being availible and any questions about prices.

Thanks

Sorry to hear you have to clear your lab! Do you have t-BuOH? Looking forward to the complete list, sounds like you have a lot of interesting stuff! I've been looking for t-BuOH, CS2, and maybe amping up my distillation kit for some time.

Yeah it sucks but i gotta do it, hopefully i'll have a decent lab again in 5 years or so. sorry no t-BuOH or CS2, i do have 1L of Et2O however and thats flammable enough for me, CS2 is a monster! Yes i have a 300mm graham, about 3 300mm liebigs, a couple 75 degree still heads and 105's with vacuum taps etc etc. Btw all of my glassware is 24/40. If someone buys enough i'll throw in a tube of Dow Corning high vacuum grease for free and maybe a mercury thermometer if im in a good mood lol

pm sent, also how much would you want for a 105 degree adapter with vac tap? Is the tap just a tube coming off the adapter or does it have an internal tube connected to it? Im sorry don't know a better way of asking.

it has a glass barb that is right below the sealed off drip tip that extends down to close to the end of the male joint. I also have one that is straight in order to use for fractionation under vacuum with an equalized addition funnel so you can easily separate fractions. PM sent

you got a 3neck 2L flask?

In vials of ivory and coloured glass
Unstoppered, lurked her strange synthetic perfumes,
Unguent, powdered, or liquid - troubled, confused
And drowned the sense in odours.

Shame you have to get rid of all that nice stuff. Maybe put it in a self storage warehouse for 5 years?

BTW I claim the 24/40 gas dispersion tube and one normal one.

Not that it's any of my business, but the birthdate in your profile puts you at 78 years old! There's either a math error or you're a man among men taking on the marriage and kids thing at that age!:D

Order came in today.

Overall I am very happy. Everything was packaged very tightly and box had a "fragile glass" label on it which I appreciate. Mossy tin came in a Ziploc bag. Not ideal, but I don't think I'm alone when I say I have quite a few HDPE containers laying around :D. Glass fritted bubbler was in pretty good shape, claisen still head had a few scratches on the inside but otherwise all glassware was in like new condition. Would buy again.

Order came in a day ago.

Everything was packed well and the items were individually wrapped with padding. There are a few stains but its negligible. Service was great and overall, I am very happy. Would definitely consider buying again.
