H2 trap
Currently im dissolving some metals with HCl.
Im doing this inside (no fume hood) (-I know is not OK.)
is there a way to trap Hydrogen gas, to avoid build up? (maybe in a solution of something)

You can vent it of through whatever ventilation you have, it isn't harmful to the environment. Otherwise you can feed it to air inlet of a Bunser
burner.

Currently a marmelade jar half full of iron? (probably not pure) nails. Did not weight it.
But in the future will try with other metals.

Just make sure that room is well ventilated. Iron nails react really slowly with acid, so hydrogen would be release also slowly. And make sure that
acidic aerosol doesn't get to the air.

Yeah, HCl fumes/aerosol will cause tons of rust on any iron or steel, you should really do it outside or in a fume hood. I ruined a lot of my dad's
tools using HCl in the basement in my early years.
