Surplus chemicals available (US only)
Hi folks- I'm new to the forum, so let me know if I'm making all the rookie mistakes (please do, I welcome any feedback).
I am currently helping liquidate a failed R&D business. Most of the more valuable equipment is going through 3rd party resellers. But, I also
have lots of glassware and some surplus chemicals. I haven't gotten much into the glassware yet, but wanted to offer access to the chemicals ASAP
because we'll be arranging disposal on a fairly quick timeline.
These chemicals are, in most cases, already opened. (in fact many are years old). These were left in the company's chemical stock room (not
requiring cold or inert atmosphere conditions). I have the inventory on the website below. I can't guarantee that the inventory is accurate or
complete, but if there's something you can use, I encourage you to reach out with an inquiry.
If there's something you're interested in:
1) I will try to locate the item
2) let you know the approximate remaining quantity and observed condition
3) Verify that I can ship following DOT (and shipper's) guidelines for hazardous materials
4) I will ship (donate) for actual shipping costs (US only) plus a reasonable handling fee to cover the effort of arranging proper DOT packaging and
shipping docs.
Regardless of what's listed on the inventory, I will only ship chemicals that are stable and don't form dangerous degradation byproducts over time.

Hi-
My apologies, I guess I was premature when I offered the chemical inventory. It turns out that today the owner of the chemicals informed me that he
doesn't want me to offer any of them. He's concerned about potential liability of providing chemicals of uncertain condition and unknown storage
conditions. He's not a scientist, and just wants to avoid all potential circumstances associated with the chemicals.

Would I be out of line to ask what the R&D was researching? I see a curious trend of metal citrates and oxalates as well as a few selected
alcohols. I’m just curious BTW. Would point out that suddenly it’s seems Etsy (at least in the US)has a respectable selection of lab chemicals
which I find odd but interesting.
