Bis(diethylammonium) tetrachlorocuprate
Do you have any experiencis with this compound? It should be thermochromic (color change from green to yellow at abaut 52 degrees).
A try to make it (copper chloride, diethylamine, hydrochloric acid - stechio and slight exces of HCl). But its soluable as hell and it won't
crystalize even if it's putted intoo a freezer and cooled to about -11 degrees (it won't freeze).
Another topic for discussion, do you know (and practicly try) some less usuall thermochromic compounds? (please do not write Ag2(HgI4) and so - i
think they are well known).

Try to add some solvent to your solution of the copper salt, such as acetone. This should precitipate it.

I added acetone - nothing has precipitated. Also tryed ethanol and so... Same as acetone.
I thing i tryed to boil it down under vacuum to minimum volume and then put in freezer.
Or do you have any other idea or do you know some other thermocromes..?
