Microbial Fuel Cell

Does anyone have any information on these? I wikipedia the subject, the talk about graphite anodes and cathodes, I was hoping to use stainless steel, does anyone know of any problems with using stainless? I can acquire graphite rods if I need to.

You should use graphite rods because they are very inert when they carry small currents. Stainless steel would work but why would you choose SS over graphite rods? Stainless steel is more expensive and less durable. Stick with graphite rods.
