distress if beta alanine can be used instead of l-alanine and what make the difference between both alanines.

beta-alanine has its amino group in the beta position instead of right next to the COOH. Resulting imine might not be electrophilic enough.

l-alanine


Is hard and expensive to get L-alanine and easy+cheap to get beta-alanine:(

They are both easy to get and l-alanine is cheaper than the beta version. Try a health food or body building store.
