My strategy:
1. Never,ever leave the reaction place.I pee in my garden.,Have a bottle of water and for long nitrations I have a sandvich(obiviusli,I wash my hands
well before eating or you will have a bad time).But for NC,I just stir in every 30 mins.I learned in the hard way,ethanol nitration
2.I have a well so I have really cold water in a bucket(10 C° )
3.I keep the eye on temp.
4.I have a tool to pick up things when its hot.
5.Never storing chemicals near the reactions.
