This is really unclear. API, or Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients, are a class of compounds, not a specific one. What do you want? An overview of some of the techniques used in chemical synthesis, or help with a specific one?

What do you mean by your work is synthesising API's? Are you a chemical engineer making them on a large scale or a scientist developing new ones?

You may find this paper useful; http://www.chimia.ch/x_data/heft_pdf/302609_Editorial.pdf

So...you either want us to tell us where to buy your materials or get us to do research for you (what people at your company probably get paid to do) into new types of pharmaceutical compounds?

You'll really have to be more specific about what area you want to focus on; cancer treatment possibilities, pain relief, arthiritis, etc.

Personally, I think research into the transition metal complexes of popular medicines, e.g. copper acetylsalicylate (tetrakis-μ-acetylsalicylato-dicopper(II), dicopper 2-acetyloxybenzoate) is particularly interesting;

because of their potential, yet at present not very well known, pharmaceutical uses. For example, this compound is known to be an effective treatment for rheumatoid arthiritis in lab animals but still needs further research and development as it has all the prospects of success in becoming an antithrombotic drug that prevents and treats thrombotic diseases in humans.

Nicodem - why have you moved this thread to Forum Matters??
