What chemicals do you need?

If there are any specific reagents or solvents people are in dire need of today is the day to let me know.

And so are you! You've already made a thread about your items for sale, you don't need to start another.

Perhaps it is because he is taking requests for items that are not on his "immediately available" list of chemicals.

will echo that, bird shot, Sodium hydride dispersion.. Or better yet, an ingenious way to substitute OTC to the same effect. I LOVE OTC! That's where all the fun is at.

I feel like an idiot here, but, are you actually asking because today is the day you are synthesizing, or because you have to get rid of stuff?

Because I need me some ethyl acetate, ethanolamine, diethanolamine, boric anhydride, alum, sodium tetraborate. Buffers and alkalines always needed. Also 1-Phenyl-3-pyrazolidone, 1-Phenyl-5-mercaptotetrazole, and ehtylenediamine tetraacetic acid.

With your prices and the large volume of material, I feel you should set up an ebay store. As per other comments, what isn't OTC?

eBay store would be an excellent way to do this.. Sending money for the dream deal still a bit anxious.. :o ..Then again, you chances to get all those goodies will substanciously decrease ....

Not necessarily. Seller could set a ridiculously high Buy It Now price, so nobody other than the intended buyer would consider it. The buyer could then submit a Best Offer of a previously agreed upon value, including a special code word like "ScienceMadness", and the seller could accept. Probably against the eBay rules, but screw 'em...

By the way, I ordered a Variac from the OP (Ephesian) and received it promptly. So I was happy with my purchase from him.

Glad you guys are pleased with your purchase. I already have an eBay "store" up, U2U me if you would like my ebay handle. The only problem I am having with ebay/paypal is all the money i'm having to pay them for listing my items, + shipping costs. I'm either going to take the ebay store down, or I'm going to have to start charging a small fee for shipping.

I bought two hard to get chemicals from Ephesian on Tuesday and they arrived on Thursday.

The price was right, the order was shipped fast, and I am very pleased with the service and level of professionalism.

Thank you Ephesian!

I will say I bought some DMSO, and it was a straight from Arcos bottle with only the seal broken. The price was lower than what I would have paid from Acros but with the same quality. You will get what you pay for anyway.

I'm in need of lithium aluminum hydride and tetrahydrofuran. The chemical supplier I use for LiAlH4 seems to be inactive currently and the THF I get has practically no price cuts for quantities higher than a liter. If you could help that would be awesome.

Diethyl ether is at the top of my list. I cannot for the love of me find a source of cheap ether. I'm not willing to distill it from starting fluid either.... Because distilling ether in a homemade copper-tubing distillation apparatus sounds just a little risky.

plutonium fulminate could be far more dangerous AFTER detonation, than confinement before. Like a party snapper made with this, and just inhaling the odor and it's by by baby.
