Potassium dichromate crystals ?


I recently made some different crystals, now ive seen potassium dichromate crystal and it looks just like copper sulfate but red :O

Do not handle KCrO7 without gloves and don't breath any dust off it. Stuff is carcinogenic.

Yes, it's quite real...I've seen large crystals of K2Cr2O7 before now that have that particular shape/geometry.

However, if you intend to grow some yourself, if you cannot determine if an image of one is real or not and link that to the lattice structure, I would not handle this compound: it is toxic, quite probably carcinogenic (causes cancer) and a skin irritant: not very pleasant indeed.
