dictaphone for keeping records

Hi everyone,

i've been thinking about this one for some time and i'd like to know your opinion.
Everyone knows that keeping notes while working a reaction can be tedious and sometimes you can't write a note imediately and then you forget so i've been thinking about using a dictaphone to keep records of my work and then maybe convert them to written form later.
I think it would be more practical although i guess you'd look silly talking to yourself . But has anyone tried this and what is your experience?

Thanks for suggestions.

It's a damn good thing to do. The only reason I'm not doing it is because people could hear me. And I'd feel squeamish about it. :S
