Polymer of castor oil + sulfur
I have this book that swears to God that ricin oil reacts with sulfur to make a polymer (maybe rubber like).
I tried to heat the mix and the sulfur dissolves in the oil, crystalizing as a yellow turbidity when it cools, but no increase in viscosity.
Could anyone add some information? Catalyst maybe? Any clue whether it reacts with the double bond or the OH group?
