Reaction Of the Week Website

I posted a forum in beginnings for this, to discuss how it should be made. It's made now, so I'd love suggestions for weeks in the future. A weekly reaction will be published on the below link every Friday. Thanks for any suggestions/corrections:

http://ptp.x10.mx/weeklyr.htm

Enjoy! It's purpose is to encourage experimentation, not explain, so it's not complete in the way of explanation.

I'd appreciate some suggestions of reactions that could be expanded by the individual preforming them. Thanks! Maybe some things on Complexes, or basic inorganics.

The second week's reaction has been published on http://ptp.x10.mx/weeklyr.htm, and is on a reaction between Calcium Chloride and Copper Sulfate.

How about, just for fun, the combustion of methanol/trimethyl borate in a volumetric flask?
Complexes with chloride?
Producing nitric acid with nitrogen dioxide and hydrogen peroxide?
Thiocyanate complexes?
Neodymium/holmium color changing?

You should also make videos to go with the site!

In regards to the videos... Maybe.

'combustion of methanol/trimethyl borate' If only I could, I'm a 14 year old with a bit of a lack of supplies... Same for the Neodymium stuff and the nitric acid, but thiocyanate and chlorine complexes sound like great ideas! Any specific ones you recommend? Also, if you really want, you could donate some pictures and summaries of the other reactions.

I've got access to small amounts of Nd2O3, I might not have time to do in reactions in the next few weeks though:(. Darn Finals.

Trimethyl borate is formed by adding boric acid to methanol. Not hard to make, and it produces a nice, bright green flame.

If you can, buy neodymium and holmium metal at Metallium.

Use NurdRage's method for nitric acid. You just need sulfuric acid, a nitrate salt, and copper as reagents. Hydrogen peroxide increases yield significantly.

At the end of the day, simulating atoms doesn't beat working with the real things...

NurdRage Method sounds interesting... I'll try it soon.

I understand (sort of) on the finals :) Any time would be nice if you did!

Site error, insert favorite curse word here...
I'm none too pleased with my host, I lost about a week's worth of edits on my site. I may have lost all of the second week post, I apologize. I'm also strangely blocked off from my control panel... Hmm. Hopefully it all wasn't hacked. But most of my site, and the first week reaction are all there.

Sorry it's late: I posted another 'reaction', though this one's a bit different.
