Can carbon suboxide be reacted with ethyl alcohol to form (C2H5)2C3O2(OH)2?

I am not sure what chemical you are referring to there, but I suspect that since O=C=C=C=O is the anhydride of malonic acid HOOC-CH2-COOH, and since
C3O2 reacts with water to form malonic acid, ethanol will react with C3O2 to form malonic acid diethylester, if water is present.
However, as C3O2 is very reactive, dry ehtanol might also react by some sort of addition reactions with the double bonds, forming diethyl ketones and
such.

I was wondering perhaps if C3O2 would react with ethyl alcohol to form diethyl malonic acid.
Also: Is it feasible to prepare C3O2 by combustion of charcoal in limited amounts of air?

Nah, only CO. Although I don't know what C3O2 would smell like, I'm sure I've never smelled it...(and trust me, I've had a wide
range of rich and lean throughout my foundry experience).
