IMMINIUM from IMINE VIA H2SO4 ?

Hi, is it possible to have IMMINIUM ion from Imine like CH3COCH3 + CH3-CH2-CH2-NH2 (acetone N-propylimine) by reacting with H2SO4 ~95% and more ?

and would CaO or CaC2 be a good deshydrating agent for 1st step ( CH3COCH3 + CH3-CH2-CH2-NH2) ?

if you can form an imine, sulfuric acid will surely protonate it to the imminium cation.

using CaO would not be a good idea for dehydration, as residual Ca(OH)2 would get in the way of the sulfuric acid
