Conductive glues or resins?

Hi I was curious at what conductive glue or resin one would use say to stick carbon rods from D cell batteries to a lead plate with a super oxide coating with a view to anode usage?

Could you be a little more clear? What exactly is a 'super oxide coating'? Are you trying to glue to the oxide or the actual lead metal? What about the electrical contact?
