Mercury + Sulfur Hgs?

Hello,

I am trying to find out if I mix a 35 grams of mercury with 95 grams of sulfur in a marbel mortar through grinding will the powder that is formed constitute Hgs? Do you think that if I started with a small amount of sulfur ontop of the mercury and grinded it together and then sequentally added more sulfur the mercury would become evenly mixed with the sulfur?
If only mixing mercury and sulfur does not consitute Hgs what procedure should I follow. I hope I might be fortunate to recieve someones insights.
Thank you for your time

Hg and S will form HgS, if you grind it together. But you have to mix 200g of Hg and 32g of sulfur.

There is an existing, active thread on this topic, and yet you have created two new ones on the same day. Why do you deserve such attention? If everyone behaved like this, the forum would be drenched in vapid and demanding posts.

Your other thread has been deleted. Please do not request that information be E-mailed to you. Why should other forum members be denied this information?
