Photobromination

4-methylphenylpropionic acid is brominated to 2-bromomethylphenylpropionic acid by photobromination. Is there any method to avoid photobromination.

whats your target conpound your trying to get that would help a little bit to give a process? otherwise you could pretty much follow vogel on page 281 of his 3rd edition, but you will have the same problem if light is introduced.
