It appears as though the file is too large to be sent as an attachment to some email providers.

In this case, I will post the vids as single attachments.

First up: HMTD Putty

About 3gms. Un-lined, cone-shaped cavity in bottom surface. Initiated with chinese firecracker fuse that has the last 1inch filled with HMTD, and a speck of double salts at the black-powder/hmtd junction. Plain fuse will just ignite this stuff when unconfined.

Note carefully the black soot left around, particularly where the piece of steel bar has shielded the concrete from it.

Next up, we have about 0.3gms HMTD pressed into a drinking straw, eletrically initiated. Never mind my mate, he'd already had about 5 drinks too many that day ;)

Firing unit improvised from Kodak funsaver camera in cardboard box. HV section of circuit board measures 15mm*15mm. Whole circuit, capacitor + firing switch fits inside smallest project box from Radio-Shack. Powered by 1.2v NiMH cell, current switched by 10A 240V micro-switch (type found in microwave doors). Although peak current is calculated at around 35 Amps (350V across 10 Ohms), these switches have tungsten contacts and a design aimed at eliminating switch bounce, whilst still having a large closing force..

Hell who cares? A single cell provides the juice for over 40 dets, and I've never replaced the switch, just the FET once from dodgy wiring that caused a short circuit inside box.

This time we have 2mls Nitro soaked into 2 facial tissues. This 'dynamite paper' was then wrapped in ordinary aluminium foil. Initiation via 2cm hmtd in 4mm id tube.

This video has been shortened somewhat to avoid wasted bandwidth, but the fuse was a standard one I use which suffered from excessive wind. Rather than the 7-8 seconds that is typical of these, this one burned for over 30 seconds.

You'll notice the surprise of the camera operator at the time of detonation. :D

This is similar to the above vid. In this instance there was no target and the detonation was carried out on the ground.

10mls nitro soaked into 10 facial tissues.

Flame observed to be some 6ft high.

Perhaps one of the more boring videos, this time we have 20gms of 9:1 AN/Smokeless powder. Powder was dissolved in acetone before being mixed through AN, rolled out flat like pastry and allowed to dry. This flat sheet was then cut into ~ 2mm cubes.

Initiated via 3cm hmtd in drinking straw. Boosted by the addition of two further capsules of hmtd. Each 3cm in drinking straw with ends closed with hot-glue.

Although rather subdued in sound output, this charge makes a slapping noise as the pavers that make up the pathway slapped together. The shockwave felt through the ground was akin to standing on concrete while somebody hit it with a 10kg sledgehammer 50cm away from your feet.

Straw protruding from canister is to prevent fuse being put out upon impact withwater.

This time we have 4-5gms blasting gelatin inside the remnants of a blasting drill hole.

Very little happens in this case, though one may note the changes to the rock surface at the bottom right of the hole. Particularly, how close the red spot is before and after.

Following the abysmal results on the rock, something both smaller and more brittle was needed. After a short search of the blast site, a dumped pile of bricks was located.

The black colour of the BG is just due to excessive handling and the resultant picking up of dirt from fingers.

Video is just 100 Kbps, but orig was 8.5 Mbps and consumes around a megabyte per second.:o

Finally, witness the effects of about 4 or 5 gms blasting gelatin on an unopened can of beer. Being a smokeless formulation, the cloud that is present after detonation is about 375mls of aerosolized beer. Carefactor = 0, since it was a light anyways...
