ph raising


What is the best way to raise the ph of an edible amine salt.Having no lab or distiller , flask;s etc.I have Nah...sodium hydroxide,dho and sodium bi and the carbonate.I forgot ph paper,or sticks so I can't do it . Even guessing is not right but for today ?it is PH 4 or so which is not good.Any ideas? I searched and got nothing.Or tell me where to look.Nobody's around.thanks...

What do you mean "edible"? NaH is not edible... Nor is it an Amine salt.

Here is a pretty good list of buffer solutions but I am sure I do not understand what you are asking.

- The salt would certainly be (slightly) acidic when dissolved in water; that being said, raising the pH would quite likely make said amine drop out of solution, unless the free base was water-soluble to begin with.

Edible amine salt sounds like drugs to me, and the bases are probably butchered listings as Darkstar said.
