If we could somehow allow to SM Wiki to host these videos, all would be great. Here's some ideas to fund for the storage needed:
•Place small add banners on both SM and the SM Wiki(again, I'm not sure if the software's compatible, and there's AdBlock)
•Allow for donations to be made to the site owner(s)
•Perhaps allow for a small one-time fee to remove the ads
•Perhaps add a new sub forum, similar to Prepublications, containing higher quality write-ups and labs that require a small monthly fee(maybe
combined with removing ads?)
Hmm. That's all I can think of, for now.

Fair Use is a copyright thing. None of the videos mentioned in this thread have been taken down because of copyright claims. Fair Use will not stop
YouTube from taking down videos because of "fire", though this does mean they're less likely to take down a word-for-word parody of a popular video.

Some chemistry channels owners are choosing to move to vid.me such as nurdrage video on the preparation of cyanide because of youtube removing the
video I see that if a channel is popular then are less likely to remove content even if it shows dangerous procedures of course not always true but it
does seem that way.

We really should be getting down to work DL ing all the other chem sites, before they go the way of chemplayer. We may not have such good access to
source material as we had there.
There should be some organized system, where the labor, bandwidth, and storage is divided up.

Since this is the EM section, some years ago there was a site called "Pyro-Tube". Unfortunately it only had a very low resolution and disapperad after
some time.
Also Pyrobin comes to my mind, but its awful to use.
Why is this so complicated with todays technology to just share a few videos...

Those of you who still maintain their YT channels, do you use some kind of VPN or something to disguise your identity?

Depending on your chosen field it could work either way. Politician / government job - bad news. Creative field / tech / academia - might work in your
favour. Most of the reason we decided to be strongly anonymous was just that we couldn't see into the future and so had to assume the worst,
especially in relation to attitudes towards anything energetic. Sadly it looks as though bureaucrats and mass-media (of which YT is now becoming a
part) are leading the population further down the path of 'science is witchcraft', and it's going to get much worse.
