tlc streaks from dipping

I got some streaksafter dipping a tlc plate in stain. Any suggestions how to prevent this?

Don't dip the plate in your reagent solution.

Put the solution into a spray bottle and lightly mist the plate until you see spots. This is a little tougher with H2SO4, but you can mist, warm with a heat gun, and mist again to get the right amount.

The goal is to moisten, not drown.
