I think it's clear that He didn't.

I see no good reason to piss on another person's prayers for a devastated family. what good could come of it other than pointing out you are not a believer or you are in a particularly poor mood already this year. I mean you are entitled to your opinion and all, but geeze kinda grim. either that or I am still just riding high on a little Christmas cheer others have lost.

I would think a well wishing for such a family would be a welcome sentiment these days so close to all the holiday fun. I know my heart goes out to them.

Hang on!
I wish the family well; I'm just pointing out that no God did so.

However, at the risk of going off topic (it's not as if I started it)
"I see no good reason to piss on another person's prayers for a devastated family."
I can see a reason for doing so.
If you leave stuff to God it plainly doesn't work; so perhaps it's important to point that out so people will realise that they need to take responsibility for themselves.

So someone pointed out that they were going to do something pointless and which couldn't possibly help the family concerned- but they still somehow think that it's not just worthwhile- but that they should brag about it.

Obviously, my post isn't going to help the bereaved; but at least I'm not pretending that it will magically do so.

ahh, a picture is painted and you are entitled to your opinion for sure, though I don't share your sentiment. I should not be ashamed of declaring my intent to pray, should I wish to do so. I can see it bugs you, and that is fine.

I still see your remarks as more of a pissing on someone's well wishes than any kind of empathy. and that is fine also. for the record, I'm not trying to bully any christian beliefs into this discussion, but I don't see any reason they should be trampled either.

No reason to start a religious debate in this thread. People are entitled to their beliefs if they mean well. Start a discussion in Whimsy if you must, though it'd be preferable not to.
