Why does this keep happening?

Lately I have this recurring problem where I log into SM from my PC but it seem that my VPN service keeps on popping up with this screen. Why can't we use a VPN service to post here?

Have you tried to unpin the internet explorer from your taskbar?

That's strange, you're being blocked by the SciMad server, not your VPN. My best guess is that a spammer or a troll was using the same VPN, so that particular IP is banned from accessing the forum. If you check the IP address, you should be able to contact one of the admins to confirm that this is the case.

Rapopart’s Rules for critical commentary:

1. Attempt to re-express your target’s position so clearly, vividly and fairly that your target says: “Thanks, I wish I’d thought of putting it that way.”
2. List any points of agreement (especially if they are not matters of general or widespread agreement).
3. Mention anything you have learned from your target.
4. Only then are you permitted to say so much as a word of rebuttal or criticism.

Anatol Rapoport was a Russian-born American mathematical psychologist (1911-2007).
