Make Diiodoacetylene. Definitely not a primary explosive (piss poor at best)
but the product is really cool, not to mention being a fun experiment to do. It's also great for clearing out your sinuses when you're coming down w/
a cold!
The odor is the best part, though. Completely extraterrestrial. Insane.

I think what you have is a bit off. I've made it twice before, and it's been very good to work with. Deflagrates nicely (makes PERFECT smoke rings
every time in still air![no air currents])
Mixed with KClO4 and it goes off nicely with a bang, but if you mean the chemical solely on it's own, it was a bit tricky to set off just plain, but I
got there after a few tries.
