Functional groups with easychem

I like easychem a lot. It's quite fast for drawing basic organic stuff. Now I am just having a small problem. I can't find any documentation about adding functional groups to compounds. The screenshots that you can see on the net shows that it is possible to add functional groups and even arrows to the drawing. I just can't figure out how to do it. Should I write my compounds using LaTeX and then open them with the software? Can anyone help me out a little?

I use Easychem too. First, click on "Add Bonds", then choose "Atom/Group", and then just click where you want to have a group. A window will pop up, and now you can add a group like for example "Me". Just click "OK" and you're done. I have also tried drawing arrows, but they never showed up in the exported eps-file :(
